Joy to the World – Video Journey – LEADERS
Develop Leaders
When Jesus saw the crowds, the Bible says he had compassion on the crowds because he realized they were like “sheep without a shepherd.” The word compassion indicates a deep, gut-wrenching concern. He then tells His disciples to pray for laborers.
Jesus is the Good Shepherd. Jesus ministered and he equipped others to minister. In Matthew 10 he prayed for laborers; in Matthew 11 he sent out laborers to do the ministry!
Paul continued with this passion by developing the 2-2-2 strategy. Notice the multiple generations involved in 2 Timothy 2:2. Paul (first generation) told Timothy (second generation) to entrust teachings to reliable people (third generation) who are able to teach others (fourth generation). Powerful model of developing men and women leaders.
10/40 Connections takes seriously Jesus compassion and earnest command for his people to pray for more laborers. We not only pray for laborers, but we seek to equip all God’s people to multiply other disciples!
Because so few groups equip women specifically as leaders/church planters, we focus on equipping women (we equip men too, but focus primarily on women). God’s mission is clear. The need is huge and urgent. There is no plan B.
Together, we lead with our Asian partners, and the lasting fruit remains. By God’s grace, 10/40 makes disciples, reproduces leaders, plants churches, and multiplies movements among the least reached.
Leadership development leads to church planting among the least reached.
Develop leaders and spread the Good Shepherd to the unreached.
