Multiplying the Word and Deed

Jesus’ teaching ministry inspires us. He taught his disciples to do what he did – in both word and deed. Jesus challenges His people, “As the Father has sent me, so am I sending you.” For this reason, 10/40 Connections seeks to engage in a two-pronged approach to ministry – teaching truth and meeting tangible needs.

Paul encouraged Timothy to instruct reliable people (anthropos includes both male and female) who will then teach others. This catalytic approach to teaching influences us at 10/40 Connections. We want to teach in ways that multiplies the effectiveness of others.

Salt and Light

10/40 believes God’s people need to live, study, and reflect with a Bible in one hand and a newspaper in the other. The world NEEDS people who understand God’s character and who seek to extend God’s purposes in the midst of broken people.

At 10/40, we seek to equip others to live as salt and light in a decaying world. Our guide is the Spirit, our tool is the Bible, and our context is our culture.

• 10/40 has equipped hundreds of believers (both in the U.S. and in the 10/40 Window) to live out their faith both locally and globally.
• 10/40 is committed to helping the Church understand its privilege and responsibility to live out God’s mission with grace and effectiveness.
