NEXUS

Converge the focus. Sharpen the vision. Unite the effort.

In 2017, 10/40 Connections will launch Nexus which will send out cross-cultural workers equipped to proclaim the holistic Gospel among the least reached for two years. Serving with Nexus allows you to combine your heart for the least reached with your love for the Church.

The goal of Nexus is to open doors for the right workers who follow Christ, love Christ, and want to make him known among the least reached.

Theological Framework

nexus pic 3*Nexus is a point of vital connection, the place where various entities join together. This point of convergence leads to dynamic potential, power, energy and output.

The most powerful theological illustration of nexus occurs at the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. That crucial, masterful convergence put on display all the paradox of the universe by combining the Divine/human, holiness/sin, heaven/earth, priest/sacrifice, temple/Body, and Creator/creation. Both in the action of the cross as well as the Person on the cross, we see that God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself. In the cross we see both the centripedal forces (drawing inward) and the centrifugal forces (pushing outward). In Christ we see his eyes turned outward and his arms open wide as he draws all people to himself. These simultaneous, mysterious forces of inward and outward connectivity give a glimpse of the binding together that finds its ultimate reality in the Triune God.

The Nexus initiative connects the church to the cross-cultural worker and the least reached peoples.

If God is directing your heart to engage the least reached while loving the church, we welcome the opportunity to see if Nexus may be God’s direction for your life.

About Us

Jesus said, "Pray the Lord to send out laborers, for the harvest is plentiful, but he workers are few." That is the mission of 10/40 Connections – to follow the example of Jesus by connecting the body of Christ, equipping believers, and engaging the least reached.
