Build a nation’s FIRST maternity home! 

10/40 Connections seeks to promote a culture of LIFE because God is the ultimate Source of life! 

In a certain South Asian nation, “abortion” is both against the law and frowned on culturally… So this nation found a way around the taboo. Just like Westen cultures where ending a pre-born baby’s life is called “woman’s healthcare” or “reproductive rights,” leaders in Asia also use deceptive language to rename abortion. This nation calls it “M.R.” which stands for “monthly regulation.” This deadly deception “helps women become regular again.” Their nation has no abortion, but they have millions of victims of M.R.! 

 Into this violent and perverse situation, over the past few years, 10/40 Connections has quietly equipped hundreds of life advocates who speak up for the voiceless. The Voice for the Voiceless curriculum has blessed hundreds of villages and thousands of villagers. These efforts resulted in babies’ lives saved, marriages protected, families strengthened, salvation for those many who call on Jesus, and house churches started among least reached groups.

Because many women are no longer choosing abortion, they need a place to stay if their home is not safe, while they bring their baby to full-term. But in this nation, THERE IS NO MATERNITY HOME available. These brave women have no place to go… until now!

In 2024, 10/40 Connections with our national coordinator and team will be purchasing land and constructing a 20+ bed maternity home in this nation – DID WE MENTION THIS IS THE NATION’S FIRST MATERNITY HOME?

DETAILS:

• Cost – The land, home, and all furnishings will cost around $165,000.
• Size – It will include two floors and around 4,600-4,700 square feet. (Can you build a 4,600 sqft property in your area for that cost?)
• Timing – Land will be purchased in Spring 2024 and construction should take 9-10 months.
• Sustainability – All maintenance costs and ongoing staffing will be paid for by local sources. This is not an on-going investment that depends on outside finances.
• Generosity – (We love this point!) Local Christians from majority background will be covering 15% of the total cost. This is just good missiology and they are excited and are half-way to their goal!
