PRAYER CYCLE FOR THE GLOBAL GENOCIDE OF ABORTION TO END

This is a guided plan for spending an hour in prayer, individually or with other people. The intention is to spend five minutes on each segment, leading to 60 minutes. Bible verses are focused on the God of Life vs. the global genocide of abortion.

1. Praise God for Life: Start your prayer hour by praising the Lord and His character. Praise Him as the God of LIFE! Job 12:10, John 8:12, Genesis 1:26-27
2. Spiritual Battle: Abortion is rooted in the Enemy’s desire to steal, kill, and destroy God’s image-bearers. Pray protection over your time of prayer – yourself and your family – as you intercede on behalf of life. Put on the spiritual armor. Ephesians 6:10-20
3. Global Genocide: Abortion is a genocide of global proportions. Last year 73 million babies lost their lives; the same number of women were exploited. Mourn these lives lost and the doom on cities who practice child sacrifice. Tell the Lord how you feel about the issue. Ezekiel 22:3, Leviticus 20:4-5
4. Confess/Surrender: Ask the Holy Spirit to show you anything to repent of in your life or on behalf of other people or places related to the issue of abortion. Offer a prayer of confession so that you might be cleansed. 2 Corinthians 7:10, Lamentations 3: 39-40
5. Read/Meditate: Spend time reading Scriptures about life. Proverbs 8:35, John 10:10, Psalm 72:14, Proverbs 31:8, Proverbs 14:31
6. Babies at Risk: Make general requests on behalf of babies at risk in your city, state, nation, and world. Lamentations 3:55-57, Leviticus 20:2-5
7. Pregnancy Centers: Pray God’s blessing of protection and resources on these centers. Pray internet search engines (and A.I.) will not dissuade people from finding help by concealing truth or spreading lies. Pray pregnancy centers can bring quick response to people who contact them. Matthew 25:34-40, Luke 10:25-27, Proverbs 24:11-12
8. Government Leaders: Pray for government leaders (city, state, nation, world) will have courage to speak up for the voiceless pre-born. Pray specific passages and/or Psalms in regard to their place of influence. 1 Peter 5:8-11, James 5:5-6
9. Women and Men: Pray for women and men who feel helpless and alone or have believed the culture’s lies that abortion is “similar to removing tonsils.” Pray they will connect to people who speak truth and compassion. Pray they will make decisions that honor God and their baby. Pray for those who have aborted and for their post-abortive care. Isaiah 1:15-17, Leviticus 20:4-5, Jeremiah 32:35
10. Churches’ Response and Practical Action: Pray for your local church and other churches to speak a consistent message of the high value of life. Pray churches will provide care for single mothers, maternity homes, post-abortive care for moms and dads, and other practical services. Ephesians 5:11, 1 Peter 2:11-12, James 5:5-6
11. Release the Burden: Ask the Lord to speak to you. Have a pen and paper ready for impressions Jesus gives you. Ask God to cleanse you from the evil of abortion as you have interceded. 2 Corinthians 4:7-11, 16-18, Matthew 11:28-30
12. Praise God for Life: Listen and spend time merging the things you have read, prayed, thought, and sung to see how the Lord brings them together to speak to you in the midst of this battle for life. John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 2:16, Genesis 1:28, Psalm 139:1-18
