I, even I, am the Lord, and apart from me there is no savior. I have revealed and saved and proclaimed – I, and not some foreign god among you…
Yes, and from ancient days I am he. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?”
Jesus loves the people of Afghanistan, and we have the privilege to bless them in their time of need. For many years, God has been on the move in this nation. Now that they are once again entering a time of deep difficulty, may the family of Jesus reach out to encourage in the midst of this human-caused turmoil.
Here are three ways you can Bless Afghanistan.
1. Pray with us.
At this moment, the most urgent need (directly requested from multiple Afgh. believers) is prayer for Jesus to move and strengthen and rescue their nation and people.
10/40 is hosting a time of specific online prayer on Wednesday, 18, August at 9:00 Eastern.
If you would like to join, please contact us and we will send you the Zoom link.
2. Tangible Needs + HOPE of Jesus
We are networking with local leaders, but everything is in flux, as you can imagine. With an unemployment rate around 70%, most people have no savings or access to money. Most ATM’s are empty. People are in great need across the country. Because of our mission and core values, all designated funds will go toward tangible needs (food, health supplies, etc.) that bless Afghan people in Jesus’ name.
This is an URGENT FUNDING REQUEST.
Would your church like to know more about welcoming refugees into your community? Please contact us and we will let you know groups to connect you, and ways to welcome and bless those new to your community.
You and your family/church/business can bless and provide tangible HOPE
to vulnerable families in Afghanistan.
Thank you for your help at this time of urgent need!
If you have questions about 10/40’s Bless Afghanistan response, please feel free to contact us.
Jesus said, "Pray the Lord to send out laborers, for the harvest is plentiful, but he workers are few." That is the mission of 10/40 Connections – to follow the example of Jesus by connecting the body of Christ, equipping believers, and engaging the least reached.
